This pendant took several steps to make. First, I hand-carved this lovely open book from PMC (Precious Metal Clay). This is a clay that when fired, burns off the binder to leave pure silver. Fired the pendant in my kiln, and here it is! The top bale is a closed tube. I thought about writing something on the pages, but it just seemed like it should be an "Open Book"
The pendant and chain are both oxidized, or antiqued, to bring out the natural color of the silver and add depth.
The pendant itself is about 1.25" x 1.5". The chain is a solid sterling silver cable. The clasp is sterling lobster style.
Please note, my pieces are not meant to be perfect or uniform. What you see here is what you get (or very close), and the "imperfections" are considered to be part of my rustic, freestyle technique. They will, however, be made with much care and attention for durability and unique design.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Custom and personalized orders
I am happy to customize your order by adding a disc or tag with personalized information. I can also stamp the back of some items. If you'd like an item similar to one pictured, but maybe in a different metal or with a different phrase, etc., just contact me. I can often accommodate! Of course, charges may apply.
Care instructions
All natural metals, including silver, copper, and brass, will naturally tarnish over time. This can easily be corrected with a treated polishing cloth, or if your item is antiqued or brushed, steel wool #000. Questions? Just let me know.
