About this piece: "Sunlit Pyramid"

This lovely handcrafted, one of a kind solid sterling silver ring is set with an exquisite, expertly cut and polished Golden Rutilated Quartz cabochon. Excellent quality and color in this stone. Note that the way this stone is set, the top is faceted and tall, rather than flat - just like the "Pyramid" in the name. I have set it within a "crown" of little sterling dots.

I took photos outdoors in natural light as well as in studio lighting to show how it appears in both.

The ring is a size 8. The ringtop itself, including the stone, is approximately 1/2" or 13.85mm at the widest.

The silver has been oxidized (blackened) to bring out the beauty of the design.

Our logo and hallmark also whimsically appear on the reverse of the ring. This is a breathtaking ring that will be treasured by its owner.

All of my jewelry is handmade in the form of centuries old tools - torch, hammers, anvils and saws. As such, you may see the rustic marks of forging. This never interferes with the structural integrity of the piece, and is considered to add to the beauty of something labored over - not cast from a machine or mass factory.

About the Stone & How It's Formed:

Golden Rutile forms deep within the Earth's crust under intense heat and pressure, primarily within quartz crystals as needle-like inclusions, from titanium dioxide precipitating out of hot, mineral-rich hydrothermal fluids or cooling magma, with the golden color coming from iron oxide impurities, creating the sought-after "angel hair" or "Venus hair" effect
